This is a die hard 100% war mud. People here are very dedicated to the
kingdoms
that they have chosen. Remember that you are part of a team and will need help
if you expect to survive and flourish in the volatile world of Arion. Each
kingdom side is at war with the others. They kill each other without pity,
respect and remorse. Expect to get player killed here by the enemies many many
many times.
Players here may treat you poorly at first because they think that you're a
spy from the other kingdom. Please be aware that if you prove yourself by
becoming a truly powerful character and earn their respect you will become a
valuable asset to your kingdom.
To prove yourself here in its heated pk environment is to prove that you truly
have mastered the art of Player Killing in a mud.

If you're a totally newbie in MUD,
the following text is meant for you.
There are different skins in Arion. Each skin includes sundry races like
orcs, elves etc.. Usually the skinmates won't kill each other, so you
don't need to fear the players from your own skin (if you are not a fallen
or darkie).
The most safest place for you is your hometown. Hometown is the town from
where you find yourself after you have created a new character. The second
safest town is the town which belongs to one of your ally race. Those towns
are usually protected very well and enemies visit them once in a blue moon.

At first, you have to grow a bit before you may survive in this cruel
world. You should train yourself by killing mostly peaceful animals in the
neighborhood. NB! Never kill the citizens of your own hometown. In this
case, you will fall into the criminal list of the town and belive me, it's
not good for you. Guards starts hunting you!
But now, may I teach you some basic knowledge about playing this MUD. At
first, you will have to learn how to move around. There are six directions:
north, south, east, west, up and down. Typing the keyword of direction will
lead you one room to the choice direction. It is self-evident that you need
some equipment like a fine weapon, armor, shield and light. While you are
still in newbie status, you can use command "OUTFIT" and your deity will
give you the basic equipment.
At the beginning, you have several PRACTICE points. You can spend your
PRACTICE points by learning new skills and spells (for example, kick, parry
shield block, dodge, cure light etc..). To do it, you will have to find a
special guildmaster who could teach the SKILLS or SPELLS of your choice.
Each guildmaster can teach you different SKILLS, so you should search out
all the available guilds. Guilds are marked as "%" on the MAP (help MAP)
so you move through all the guilds and learn what you think you will need

to learn. To display the list of available skills at the guildmaster, use
the command PRACTICE. The basic skills you should practice are:dodge, parry,
shield block, sword, mend, climb and continual light. With our powerful
radar function, it's not hard to learn new areas, so I suggest you to turn
the AUTOMAP mode on.
Before you go to the wilderness, make sure you have all you need to
survive (some food, water, a good sword and enough courage). Then, go and
find some animals to beat up. Before you decide to kill someone, use
CONSIDER command with the creature (CONSIDER RABBIT example). It will give
you some critical information about the beast. If you are sure you can kill
the creature, use "KILL" command and the fight will begin.
At the end of the fight, you will gain experiences, may-be a level as
well. Experiences are needed to gain higher levels. Gaining a level means
that you get some extra MANA, HITPOINT, MOVE, carry and practice points. To
view your level status use the command "WORTH", this command shows you your
money too.
Money is needed in Arion to BUY equipment or pay off your RENT/CAMP

costs. You gain money by slaying creatures or SELLing valuable items to
shopkeepers. Selling items is a special art, not all shopkeepers are
intrested of fair deals. There are many loan sharks in the world of Arion,
so be aware, be the one who cheats not the one who is cheated. Else, your
life isn't nice for you.
If you find yourself bored of Arion, you need to go for a while (Let be
honest, everyone needs to eat, drink and do other vital things.), you have
to find a place to live for your character while you're not playing. Find
an inn and use the RENT command (You need some coins to pay for your
chamber), find a place for camping and use "camp" command (It costs more
than an usual rent) or you may just '#zap' to be linkless. Being linkless
is the most expensive method to save your stuff and it is NOT the safest
one. If you run out of cash while being in RENT/camp/linkness, you will
find yourself eqless - you will l o s e all your equipment. -
Now you should have the basic knowledge about our MUD, if you have still
some problems t h e n use the "HELP" command, it consists very useful
stuff, if not, ask online from players or immortal.
